Well, this weekend was another rainy one for sure. If anyone had plans to set out annuals in their flower beds, that simply was not going to happen. We started the weekend by heading right into the tornado/hail/thunderstorm's path to Rogers on Friday night for a surprise graduation party for Mary Beth and also for Courtney Beaty given by Jon and Chris. The Pinnacle Country Club is breathtaking to say the least. The service was amazing and I thought they were even going to chew my food for me! It is really beautiful and the evening went much better than expected. We stopped and picked up Greg on the way, so it was good to catch up with him too.
Saturday, Steve and I went to run some errands and to drive around once again in search of "THE HOUSE THAT DOES NOT EXIST" because we have come to believe that the house with the qualities we want does not exist. Of course, I think as time goes by, and the neighbors continue to drive us crazy.....especially when the weather gets warmer and we are outdoors more....those qualities will get much broader and we will find something then!
Today I cleaned (yes, I can finally bend some and actually squat a bit) because my parents are coming next weekend for Mary Beth's graduation. Steve spent most of his time outside because he gave up on the idea of "waiting until it stops raining" to complete his project. As you can tell by the photos, he was one huge mud puppy. The place by the driveway looks great and I think it will help when we are turning around. I don't know who designed this old driveway so narrow...must have been when they had their horse and buggies and didn't need much room!
I made a new commitment this weekend. Let's just see how long it lasts. I'm going to try to get my weekends back for me! I'm going to try to work hard during the week and then not work on notes and paperwork all weekend like I have been doing forever. I didn't do it this weekend, but of course everything was just turned in on Friday. I have Fridays notes to do, but I plan to do them in the morning before I go in to work. Sounds like a plan to me. Now let's just see if I can stick to it!!!!
