- What would you like to know about your future? I think, as dreary as it sounds, I would like to know how many years I have left. It's the whole planning ahead thing. It's funny how things change but it would be nice to know so you could plan things out and space things out better...or if need be, squish them all up in whatever time you have left. Steve and I have decided we definitely want to go together...I'm sure God will arrange that. =-)
- What is on your bedside table? I have an interesting lamp from Hobby Lobby (my favorite store), by alarm clock that also docks my Ipod, a couple of pens and a pencil and my glasses and book are parked there at night.
- What was your favorite book as a child? Well, I passed this one on to my children, but it really was A Wrinkle in Time. (which is supposed to be underlined, I think) It turned on my imagination and I read it over and over. It was sort of a Harry Potter kind of book that you just couldn't put down. There was a Mrs. Whatsit and a Mrs. Whosit and I wanted them in my life too. Growing up on a farm out in the middle of nowhere with two older brothers, I learned to have a vivid imagination and books and the characters in them helped. Can you imagine growing up with only 3 television channels and no VCR?
- List 5 things you need to survive (excluding the obvious...air...etc.) if left alone on a deserted island. First I would want Steve so he could take care of anything gross that should come up that I didn't want to do, or if we had to put worms on hooks or something like that....plus he gets my sarcasm and never gets mad so its likely he wouldn't resort to killing me for survival. Next I would want a toothbrush/toothpaste...couldn't go long without them. (and any other things like deodorant, hairbrush, dental floss, etc would be sweet too). Third, I would like an endless supply of paper and pens to write with. There might just be a great novel in me, you never know...especially if I was on a deserted island! Next, yes I realize some of my listings have included more than one item, I would like to have tons of things to read from classic novels to current magazines that I never have time to read. And last, I'd want my pictures. Go ahead and laugh, those that know how many I have, because with the many large tubs that it takes to hold them I could probably use them for floatation devices to escape from the deserted island!
- Name one thing that you learned today. This is the thing...once you have given blood to United Blood Services, they will never NEVER forget you or lose you. If the phone rings and they ask for "Marsha" then we know it is the "vampires" as Steve calls them. So I am tired of being evasive and making excuses this time. I've scheduled an appointment to go and give blood next Saturday. I'm O Negative so they always want my blood. But they will never give up. Never. They are like the FBI. They will hunt you down.
