'Thursday and Friday were a great break for me. It started with an afternoon of shopping with Greg. It's so different shopping with sons than with your daughters....he makes his selections quickly and when he tries them on, he never comes out to "show Mom" what they look like. I have spent hours outside of dressing rooms, exchanging shirts, pants and everything else for different colors and sizes. Greg went in and tried everything on and then came out ready to go.
Next stop was to pick up Mary Beth from work at IO Metro in Rogers and go to an Open House for a house that was furnished and decorated by IO Metro. Wow-it is amazing how beautiful it was inside! I simply cannot imagine living like that! We enjoyed dinner at Joe's Pasta in Springdale, which by the way, has the best garlic bread I've ever eaten in my life! (and that is saying quite a lot!)
Next, I met up with Glo and Connie at George's Majestic Lounge on Dickson Street. The Cates Brothers were playing so we enjoyed listening to them until late at night. (for us anyway!) The three of us spent the night at Glo's, sitting out on the patio talking into the wee hours.
Friday morning was wonderful as we took turns getting a European facial at Glo (the salon, not the sister-in-law). Haley Nicodemus has definitely found her job in life that suits her...such pampering was awesome! My facial was a gift from Rachel for Christmas....yes, I know you are asking, what took me so long? I'm beginning to wonder about that myself! So relaxing! It's Sunday as I write this and I haven't put makeup on yet!
Connie had to rush back to Van Buren because her daughter from Florida is in town. Glo and I had lunch at Noodle's Restaurant. Then, it was time for me to get back to the real world and return to Fort Smith.
A break from the schedule is all it takes sometime for us to look at things a bit differently. This could be a great week.
